Nail Tek Review - week 1

 Dopo aver letto la recensione di Pallino Girl a proposito dello smalto ristrutturante Nail Tek, ho deciso di provarlo. Tralascio l'epopea che ho dovuto fare per reperirlo, ma alla fine ce l'ho fatta!

 Visto che la cura prevede 7 giorni senza smalti colorati, ho deciso di affrontare questo supremo sacrificio in modo scientifico, ovvero facendo una reviw fotografica.

After reading the review of Pallino Girl about restructuring nail polish Nail Tek, I decided to try it. I omit the complications that I had to find it, but finally I did it!

Assuming that the treatment consists in 7 days without any colored nail polish, I decided to tackle this supreme sacrifice with a scientific approach: making a photographic review.

Giorno 0:

Ovvero l'orrore.

Notare che le unghie sono provate e frastagliate.

Mano sinistra:

• pollice: tende a sfaldarsi sulla punta
• indice: molto sfaldato
• medio: inizio sfaldatura
• anulare: ok
• mignolo: ok

Tutte le unghie tranne il pollice presentano inoltre irregolarità sulla superficie.

Day 0:

The disaster..

Nails are really damaged and they peel off..

Left hand:

• Thumb: some peelings on the top
• Index: really damaged
• Middle finger: it is starting to peel off
• Ring finger: ok
• Pinkie: ok

All the nails but the thumb has very irregular surface.

 

Mano destra:

• pollice: sfaldatura grave sulla punta
• indice: inizio sfaldatura
• medio: molto sfaldato
• anulare: ok
• mignolo: ok

 Anche in questo caso, tutte le unghie tranne il pollice presentano irregolarità sulla superficie.


Right hand:

• Thumb: really damaged on the top
• Index: it is starting to peel off
• Middle finger: really damaged
• Ring finger: ok
• Pinkie: ok

 Also in this case,all the nails but the thumb has very irregular surface

Due considerazioni:

1. so che esiste anche una versione senza formaldeide, ma non l'ho trovata.Spero che questa sia buona comunque!
2. le istruzioni spiegano che si può procedere anche sovrapponendo una base colorata, ma essndo le mie unghie particolarmente stressate, ho preferito procedere senza interferenze di sorta usando quindi solo il prodotto curativo.

 Here's the product I used.
Two considerations:

1. I know there is also a version without formaldehyde, but I have not found it. Hope this one will work fine anyway!
2. The instructions tell you that you can also proceed by using it with a colored nail polish, but since my nails are particularly stressed, I decided to proceed without interference of any kind.

Ho proseguito per tutta la settimana dando una passata ulteriore ogni sera (due passate i giorni in cui sono stata in piscina).

Dopo una settimana ho tolto lo smalto e mi sono preparata al confronto

Mano sinistra:

• pollice prima: tende a sfaldarsi sulla punta
• pollice dopo: la sfaldatura non è proseguita, limando l'unghia l'imperfezione è quasi sparita
• indice prima: molto sfaldato
• indice dopo: la sfaldatura non è proseguita, limando l'unghia l'imperfezione è migliorata
• medio prima: inizio sfaldatura
• medio dopo: la sfaldatura non è proseguita, limando l'unghia l'imperfezione è migliorata
• anulare prima e dopo: ok
• mignolo prima e dopo: ok

Inoltre nel complesso l'aspetto della superficie è leggermente migliorato.


I continued throughout the week giving a further coat every evening (two coats in the days when I was back from the swimming pool).
After a week I removed the nail polish and I was ready for the comparison

Left hand:

• Thumb before: some peelings on the top
• Thumb after: the peel off seems not get worse, shorting the nail with the file the defect is nearly disappeared
• Index before: really damaged
• Index after: the peel off seems not get worse, shorting the nail with the file the defect is not so visible anymore (but still present)
• Middle finger before: it is starting to peel off
• Middle finger after: the peel off seems not get worse, shorting the nail with the file the defect is not so visible anymore (but still present)
• Ring finger before and  after: ok
• Pinkie before and after: ok

Also in the complex the appearance of the surface is slightly improved.

Ancora presto per dirlo... ho deciso infatti che posso resistere ancora una settimana con le unghie 'neutre': trarrò le somme tra 7 giorni!

Too early to give an answer... In fact, I decided that I can hold out another week with 'natural' nails : I will give my verdict in 7 days!
