Brevissimo post per condividere una semplicissima nail art che ho fatto ieri, in due differenti condizioni di luce (naturale e artificiale). Spero vi piaccia!

Dark Winter Songs - Episode 4: Electronic music - Breathe by The Prodigy

Bentornati al nostro appuntamento con gli smalti e con la musica: Dark Winter Songs!
Oggi parliamo di musica elettronica; io non sono un'appassionata del genere, ma gironzolando per il web alla ricerca di un'ispirazione sono incappata in un pezzo a dir poco antico che all'epoca mi aveva colpito molto.
Era il 1997 e il gruppo musicale The Prodigy scriveva Breathe, un pezzo sincopato e a tratti inquietante che rappresenta un ottimo esempio del genere che trattiamo in questa puntata.

Welcome back to our appointment with nail polishes and with music: Dark Winter Songs!
Today we talk about electronic music; I'm not a fan of this kind of music, but searching on the web for an inspiration I stumbled upon an ancient piece that at that time that had impressed me a lot.
It was 1997 and the musical group The Prodigy wrote Breathe, a syncopated and sometimes disturbing song that represents an excellent example of the kind of music that we discuss in this episode.

Finally I took inspiration from.... the hair of the singer!

Esatto, ho scelto proprio di usare i colori dei capelli di Keith Flint per la mia nail art.
Colgo l'occasione per presentarvi anche gli smalti utilizzati, sono entrambi A England:
That's right, I chose to use the same hair colors of Keith Flint for my nail art.
I take this opportunity to introduce also the nail polishes used, they are both A England:

Holothon 2015 Episode 14: Stamping with A-England Briarwood

Buon venerdì  bentornate alla Holothon! Questa è l'ultima puntata, purtroppo... insieme agli smalti holografici salutiamo l'estate. Santo cielo, detto così suona davvero malinconico, provo a riformulare: salutiamo degnamente l'estate con l'ultima puntata della Holothon, ma non temete, insieme all'autunno arriveranno altre sfavillanti novità! Meglio?

Finally the weekend is arrived! And friday means  Holothon! This is the last episode, unfortunately, but do not worry, autumn  will come together with new initiatives! 

 

Per questa puntata ho scelto uno smalto della A-England:  Briarwood. E dato che sono nel mio periodo stamping, secondo voi potevo trattenermi dal testarlo sotto questo punto di vista?

For this episode, I chose an A-England nail polish: Briarwood. And since I'm in my stamping period, do you think I could avoid to test it under this point of view?

Condivido quindi con piacere il risultato del mio esperimento. Dopo aver applicato una base nude (OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons) ho applicato Briarwood con la tecnica dello stamping utilizzando la plate Bridal Collection 07 di Mo-You.
So, I'm glad to share the result of my experiment. You can see here a stamping made on a nude base (OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons) useng a Mo-You plate (Bridal Collection 07).

E visto che di arcobaleni non se ne ha mai abbastanza, andiamo subito a vedere le proposte delle mie amiche di smalto!

[Finishpedia] episode 23: Scattered Holo

Il finish di oggi è Scattered Holographic. Vediamo subito la definizione (dal sito di Peachypolish):

A polish that has larger and less dense holographic particles.  Often appearing to look more like a shimmer polish.

Sono in un ritardo mostruoso, spero che vogliate perdonarmi. La settimana è stata intensa e trovo solo adesso un attimo per postare... ma l'importante è esserci, giusto?

I am in a monstrous delay, I hope you will forgive me. The week was intense and I find only now a moment to post ... but the important thing is to be here, right?

Su una base così particolare non ho voluto giocare troppo con i colori. Ho preso quindi il bianco acrilico ed ho disegnato un pò di ghirigori... sono i disegni che faccio quando sono al telefono, o quando ascolto qualcosa di noioso... avete presente?
Bhe stavolta ho voluto provare a riprodurli sulle unghie!
On such a gorgeous basis , I did not want to play too much with colors. so I took the white acrylic and I drew some twirls ... are the designs that I do when I'm on the phone, or when I hear something boring ... you know?
Well this time I wanted to try to replicate them on your nails!

Il finish di oggi è il Matte. Vediamo subito la definizione (dal sito di Lacquerized):

This finish dries completely matte, no shine whatsoever. These dry quickly and sometimes end up being streaky. Handlotion is to be avoided because it decreases the matte effect.

Con profonda costernazione mi sono resa conto che l'unico vero matte che avevo era già stato prenotato da qualcun altra per la puntata di oggi, così mi sono rivolta al mio nuovo top coat della Kiko.

With great consternation, I realized that the only real matte that I had has been already booked by someone else for today's episode, so I turned to my new top coat by Kiko.

Ovviamente non aveva molto senso mostrarlo da solo e volendo evitare di cadere nella banalità delle foto con e senza top coat ho deciso di mostrare l'effetto su una nail art che alternasse parti lucide a parti opache. Dato che oggi sfoggiavo un paio di calze rosso fuoco, ho optato per una manicure in tema.

Obviously did not make much sense to show this nail polish alone and, wishing to avoid falling into banality of photos with and without top coat, I decided to show the effect on a nail art that alternates shiny parts to opaque parts. Since today I was wearing a pair of red tights fire, I opted for a manicure in tone.

Questo top coat non mi è affatto dispiaciuto anche se averlo applicato in fretta e furia alle 10 di ieri sera non ha aiutato molto... io spero che abbiate comunque gradito il mio modesto contributo alla causa.

I liked this top coat at the end... even if next time I'll try to apply non at the very last minute like yesterday evening! Anyway I hope you like this mani...

Il pattern di oggi è molto azzeccato, non trovate? Un pò di agrifoglio ed un accent in tinta olografico. Acrilici su base bianca, ecco la ricetta!
The pattern of today is very appropriate, do not you agree? A bit of holly and an holographic accent in green and red. Acrylic on white base, here is the recipe!

Inverse gradient (when the time is really short....)

A volte il tempo è scarso.
Ti ritrovi la sera, con lo smalto sciupato e tra mezz'ora sarebbe opportuno andarsene a letto.
Che fare?
Lasciare lo smalto sciupato? Giammai!
Rassegnarsi ad un'unghia nuda? ... mha...
Indossare un monocolore? Anche no!
E in questi casi avere un nutrito parco smalti non può che aiutare: sì perchè con gli smalti giusti è facile improvvisare una bella nail art in meno di venti minuti.

Sometimes time is short.
You find yourself in the evening, with nail polish ruined and in half an hour would be appropriate to go to bed.
What to do?
Leave the damaged polish? Never!
Resigned to naked nail ? ... Mha ...
Wear just one color? No!
And in these cases, have a large nail polish fleet can only help: yes because with the right polish is easy to improvise a beautiful nail art in less than twenty minutes.

Ecco come è nata questa manicure. Ho steso un bel nero e rosso one coater per poi andare a creare un gradient inverso con due magnifici holo.
Ma conosciamoli meglio:

Here is how this manicure born. I applied a beautiful one coater black and another one red;  then I went to create a reverse gradient with two magnificent holo.
But let's know them better:

Inutile dire che mi sono vestita proprio con questi toni: basta un pantalone nero e un bel maglione rosso e voilà! Minimo sforzo, massimo risultato.
Needless to say, I dressed up exactly with these tones: just black trousers and a nice red sweater and voila! Minimum effort, maximum results.

[EuRoPe] episode 1 - Italy

Avete salutato l'estate come meritava? ... sì? Ehm... spero niente gesto dell'ombrello anche se è stata un briciolino impietosa!

Ad ogni modo adesso si ricomincia, stagione nuova, vita nuova, clima nuovo (si spera) ma soprattutto nuovo appuntamento.

Sì, perché quella vulcanica fanciulla che risponde al nick name di Gold Francine questo autunno ci ha proposto una gita a zonzo per l'Europa. E ovviamente non potevo che accettare.

Le regole sono semplici: 13 settimane di autunno, equivalgono a 13 appuntamenti con gli stati europei (più quello bonus di oggi); sì lo so che gli stati europei sarebbero 28, però credo che due appuntamenti la settimana ci avrebbero ucciso! :-D

L'appuntamento di oggi è un pò il punto di partenza della gita, ed infatti è dedicato al nostro paese natale. Sicuramente non vincerò un premio per l'originalità, ma ecco il mio modesto contributo.

Did you say goodbye to the summer?

From today, new season, new life, new weather (hopefully), but especially new appointment.

Yes, because that volcanic girl called Gold Francine this fall has proposed a trip wandering through Europe. And of course I accepted!

The rules are simple: 13 weeks of autumn, equivalent to 13 appointments with European states (plus the bonus of today); yes I know that the European states would be 28, but I think that two appointments each week would kill us! :-D

Today's event is kinda the point of departure of the tour, and in fact is dedicated to our hometown. Definitely I will not win a prize for originality, but here's my modest contribution.
