Tribute Nail Art Challenge Episode 5

Pronte per la quinta puntata della nostra Tribute Nail Art Challenge? Per questo mese gioco da solista: Aly ha dovuto prendersi una breve pausa, ma sono certa che sta già spulciando il web a caccia di ispirazioni per il suo rientro.
Per questa puntata ho giocato sul sicuro con la nail art della talentuosa e giovanissima Alice, di One Nail To Rule Them All... la conoscete tutte, vero?

Ready for a new episode of the Tribute Nail Art Challenge? For this month I am alone: Aly had to take a short break, but I'm sure she's already searching through the web looking for inspiration for her return.
For this episode I choosed the nail art of the very talented and very young Alice, from One Nail To Rule Them All. I follow her blog from the very beginning and I love her style, so basic and lovely.

Alice -che è davvero bravissima-  ha realizzato il tutto con gli smalti. Io ammetto di non essere stata altrettanto talentuosa e ho dipinto i fiori con i cari vecchi colori acrilici, su una base nude di OPI, Don't Pretzel My Buttons. Vi lascio qualche altra foto sotto!
Alice - who is really very talented - made it all with the nail polishes. I am not as talented as her and I painted the flowers with my beloved acrylic colors, on a nude base by OPI, Do not Pretzel My Buttons. You can find additional photos below!

Tribute Nail Art Challenge Episode 4

Buon lunedì e buon Settembre!
Pronte per la quarta puntata della nostra Tribute Nail Art Challenge?  Oggi io e  Aly ci siamo nuovamente ispirate alla particolarissima nail art di Hang Nguyen, che trovate su IG.
Anche in questo caso la nail art è minimal e davvero elegante, l'ho adorata fin dal primo istante! Happy Monday and happy September!
Are you ready for the forth episode of our Tribute Nail Art Challenge? Today Aly and I were inspired again by Hang Nguyen's very elegant floral nail art, that you can find on  IG.

Anche in questo caso ho utilizzato sia gli acrilici che gli smalti: ho steso una base nude e con l'aiuto dello striping tape ho aggiunto sulla metà inferiore lo smalto nero. Poi con un dotter ho delineato il centro dei fiorellini (e secondo me è stato un errore... probabilmente avrei dovuto disegnare prima i petali) per poi aggiungere i petali con i colori acrilici. Una bella mano di top coat e voilà!
Spero che la mia versione vi piaccia, ecco qualche altra foto:

I started with a nude base and with the help of the striping tape I added the black colour on the lower half. Then with a dotter I have outlined the center of the flowers (and I think it was an error ... I probably should have drawn the petals before) and then I added the petals using acrylic colours. Then, a good top coat and it was done!

Pronte per la terza puntata della nostra Tribute Nail Art Challenge? Oggi io e  Aly ci siamo ispirate alla nail art di Simplenailartdesign.
Non so chi si celi dietro questo pseudonimo, ma lo trovo azzeccato: le sue nail art sono caratterizzate dalla semplicità di esecuzione ma anche da una spiccata originalità.

Are you ready for the third episode of our Tribute Nail Art Challenge?Today Aly and I were inspired by Simplenailartdesign: her works are indeed simple but stunning!

 L'originale è di ben 6 anni fa, ma porta decisamente bene i suoi anni. Sebbene la nostra nail artist abbia realizzato il disegno con gli smalti io come al solito ho ripiegato sui colori acrilici: un pò per non impiastricciare i pennelli, ma anche perchè con questo caldo è complesso lavorare con gli smalti: si seccano subito!
Spero che la mia versione vi piaccia, ecco qualche altra foto:
The original is 6 years old, but definitely it wears his years well. Even if the nail artist made the design using nail polishes, as usual, I used acrylics: first of all I didn't want to smudge the brushes, but also because with this heat it is difficult to work with the nail polishes: they dry up immediately!

Pronte per la seconda puntata della nostra Tribute Nail Art Challenge? Oggi io e  Aly ci siamo ispirate alla particolarissima nail art di Hang Nguyen, che trovate su IG.
Trovo le sue nail art perfette nel loro essere minimal ed eleganti, ma mantenendo sempre un tocco di eleganza e di follia, che non guasta mai!

Are you ready for the second episode of our Tribute Nail Art Challenge? Today Aly and I were inspired by Hang Nguyen's very particular nail art, that you can find on  IG.
I find her nail arts just perfect in their being minimal and elegant, but always maintaining a touch of madness, which is always good!

Per realizzare la nail art ho usato una tecnica mista: per la parte superiore mi sono servita dello striping tape per creare una linea dritta con lo smalto, mentre per le lunette inferiori ho preferito ripiegare sui colori acrilici, sigillando il tutto con un buon top coat.
Spero che la mia versione vi piaccia, ecco qualche altra foto:

To create the nail art I used a mixed technique: for the upper part I used the striping tape to create a straight line with the nail polish, while for the lower section I preferred to use the acrylic colors, sealing everything with a good top coat.

Tribute Nail Art Challenge Episode 1

Buon lunedì!
Con questo post sono lieta di dare inizio ad una twinsie studiata insieme alla mia amica Aly: ogni primo lunedì del mese dedicheremo un tributo alla creazione di una nail artist che ci ha colpito con la sua bravura ed originalità.
La twinsie - guarda tu il caso- si chiama appunto “Tribute” e ci vedrà affiancate nell’intento di emulare ogni mese una nail art diversa... aggiungendo un tocco personale, inevitabilmente!

Good evening!
With this post I am pleased to introduce a twinsie planned with my friend  Aly: every first Monday of the month we will dedicate a tribute to the creation of a nail artist who impressed us with her skill and originality.
The twinsie - strangely enough - is called "Tribute" and it will see us side by side trying to emulate a different nail art each month ... always adding a personal touch, of course!

Per la prima puntata abbiamo scelto una vecchia opera della bravissima Lex del blog Storm And Stars con le sue chevron su gradiente nei toni del tramonto (la trovate anche su IG).
Ecco la mia versione!
Come vedete ho usato una tecnica un pò diversa da quella della nail art originale: ho creato prima il gradient e poi  ho applicato i chevron con uno stamping furbo. E' più forte di me: cerco sempre delle scorciatoie! Spero che la mia versione vi piaccia comunque ecco qualche altra foto:

For the first episode we chose an old work by the very talented nail artist Lex from the blog Storm And Stars: chevrons on a gradient in the shades of sunset (you can find her also on IG).
Here is my tribute version!
As you can see I used a technique a bit different from the original nail art: I created the gradient and I used it as base for a stamping with chevrons pattern. It's stronger than me: I'm always looking for shortcuts! I hope you like my version anyway, you can find below are some other photos:
