Questo pattern mi è piaciuto dal primo momento in cui l'ho visto, ma mi ero lasciata un pò intimidire dalla difficoltà di esecuzione... poi quando Claudia ha proposto il medesimo motivo ho capito che il momento era giunto!
I liked this pattern from the first moment I found it, but I was a bit intimidated by the difficulty of execution ... but then also Claudia proposed it so I realized that its moment had come!

Sarò sincera: la scelta di questa settimana è stata influenzata da due fattori. Il primo è il poco tempo a disposizione ed il secondo la voglia di ri-usare il bellissimo Shaka J21 Sky Denim. Inutile dire che il pattern sposava alla perfezione le due cose!
I'll be honest: the selection of this week was influenced by two needs. The first is the limited time available and the second the desire to re-use the beautiful Shaka J21 Sky Denim. Needless to say, the chosen pattern perfectly fulfilled both of them!

Come ho già detto la base è stata realizzata con J21 Sky Denim di Shaka, mentre i dot sono realizzati con un semplice nero di Kiko. Niente acrilici per una volta!
As I said the base is J21 Sky Denim by Shaka, while the dot are made with a simple black nail polish by Kiko. No acrylic painting for once!

Ecco pattern di oggi! Ho adorato questo disegno appena l'ho visto, spero che piaccia anche a voi.

Ovviamente la realizzazione è affidata agli acrilici, ma stavolta ho voluto provare a giocare un pò con i colori realizzando un accent in negativo. A voi quale combinazione piace di più?
Obviously, the implementation is entrusted to acrylics, but this time I wanted to try to play a bit with the colors creating a negative accent. Which is your favourite combination?

Holothon 2015 Episode 2: Comparation Between Shaka 05 and Nfu-Oh 66

Buon venerdì gente!
Vi state godendo questo inizio d'estate? Noi sì, a modo nostro... se per tutti sole significa tintarella e mare per noi smaltofile è sinonimo di smalti holo. E quindi... eccovi un nuovo episodio della Holothon!
Tanto per cambiare, in vece della solita nail art oggi vorrei presentarvi una comparazione tra due smalti holo verdi chiari:

• Shaka 05 Hologram Green
• Nfu-Oh 66

Le prime foto sono scattate in ombra, come potete constatare gli smalti sembrano quasi dupe.

Are you enjoying this summer? We are enjoying it, in our own way ... if for everyone symmer means tan and sea for us nail polishes addicted is synonymous of holo nail polishes. So ... here's a new episode of Holothon!
Just for a change, instead of the usual nail art today let me introduce a comparison between two light green nail polishes:

• Shaka 05 Hologram Green
• NFU-Oh 66

The first pictures are taken in shadow, as you can see the nail polishes seem to dupe.

 La prova sole però chiarisce ogni dubbio: mentre lo Shaka risplende il Nfu-Oh brilla di luce propria!
Under the sun, however, any doubt disappears while Shaka shines the NFU-Oh explodes with its own light!

 Qui potete ammirarli entrambi, la differenza è davvero evidente. Qual'è il vostro preferito?

Il pattern di oggi è molto particolare... me ne sono innamorata appena l'ho visto.
The pattern of today is very peculiar ... I fell in love with itv as I saw it.

Sono partita da una base blu scura per andare poi a dipingere le foglie con gli acrilici ed aggiungere poi i fiori con l'ausilio del dotter.
Starting from a blue base I painted the green trees with acrylic colors; then, I added the flowers using a dotter.

Cruise Nails!

Questo fine settimana ho avuto l'opportunità di vivere un'esperienza davvero speciale: in modo del tutto fortuito ed insperato infatti ho vinto una mini crociera di 3 giorni e 2 notti a bordo di un Veliero chiamato La Signora Del Vento!
Ecco la nave in questione, a me sembra che tale nome le renda assolutamente giustizia, voi che ne dite?
Colgo anche l'occasione per scusarmi se in questi giorni ho un pò trascurato i vostri blog... recupero nei prossimi giorni, promesso.

This weekend I had the opportunity to experience something truly special: in completely random and unexpected way I won a mini cruise of 3 days and 2 nights on board a sailing ship called The Lady of the Wind!
Here the ship:

 

Visto il poco tempo a disposizione alla fine abbiamo costeggiato l'Isola d'Elba visitando a terra Porto Azzurro e Porto Ferraio.
La parte più bella però è stata la navigazione: la nave è molto bella (scordatevi i traghetti un pò sgarrupati e sporchi) e l'equipaggio ci ha istruiti in modo tale da aiutarli ad aprire parte delle vele per navigare un pò a vento.
Ecco il pontile della nave:

The time was short so we visited the Elba island, but the best part was browsing: the ship is very beautiful (forget the ugly ferries) and the crew trained us so we can help them open the sails!

Nonostante lo scarso tempo a disposizione ed i bagagli da preparare, vi pareva che potessi partire con unghie 'normali'? Certo che no!
Ecco la nail art molto semplice con nuance marinaresche che ho improvvisato su base blu (Shaka Navy) utilizzando i colori acrilici.

Despite the limited time available and the luggage to prepare, do you think that I could leave with 'normal' nails? Of course not!
Here the very simple nail art done with seamanlike nuance that I improvised on a blue (Shaka Navy) using acrylic colours.

E questo è quanto! E voi siete mai state su un veliero? Vi piace andare per mare o preferite stare con i piedi per terra?
And that's it! Have you ever been on a sailing ship? Do you like navigate on the sea or do you prefer stand with your feet on the ground?

Il finish di oggi è il Foil. Vediamo subito la definizione (dal sito di Lacquerized):

Foil polishes often have a metallic base color with very fine glitter added to it. The finish is very smooth yet sparkly.

Stavolta ho provato a fare da sola.... bhe dai... più o meno! Sì perchè pur non stressando le mie smaltoamiche con mille domande ho sbirciato la lista degli smalti in lizza per la puntata odierna e facendo qualche paragone ho scelto il candidato per l'appuntamento odierno. Avrò azzeccato? A voi l'ardua sentenza!

This time I tried to do without external help .... well ... more or less! Yes, because while not stressing my nail-polish-friends with a thousand questions I peeked the list of nail polishes competing for today's episode and doing some comparison I chose the candidate for the appointment of today. Will I have got it right? Up to you will judge!

Ho quindi il piacere di presentarvi lo Shaka Golden Blackberry, un foil appunto, con particelle dorate su base porpora. A me piace moltissimo, sia sulle unghie che in boccetta! E questo spiega tutte le foto in cui campeggia...

I have the pleasure to present the Shaka Golden Blackberry, a foil indeed, with gold particles on a purple base. I love it, both on nails and also the bottle! And this explains all the photos ...

La nail art come vedete è molto semplice e ho usato il mio Shaka per enfatizzare i dot marroni su una base neutra. Così facendo risalta soprattutto la sua componente dorata, ma a me è piaciuto comunque.

The nail art as you can see it is very simple and I used my Shaka to emphasize the brown dots on a neutral basis. By doing so stands out above all its golden component , but I liked it anyway.
