BirthStone Challenge #10 October - OPAL

Buongiorno, e bentornati alla Birthstone Challenge, l'appuntamento mensile con le pietre preziose e semi-preziose!
La pietra dedicata al mese di ottobre è il bellissimo Opale.

Good morning and welcome back to the Birthstone Challenge!
October stone is the beautiful Opal 

 Io mi sono lanciata in una nail art a sandwich:

1. base bianca Wjcon 
2. Catrice Holographic Flakes Topcoat
3. Deborah 3D Tech Top Coat 102

Il risultato non è malaccio e rende abbastanza l'idea però, mha... non sono particolarmente soddisfatta. Col senno di poi ci avrei abbianto una nail art 'gioiello', ma oramai si era fatto tardi quindi mi sono accontentata. Voi che ne dite?

To replicate the Opal effect I tried a sandwich nail art:

1. White base Wjcon 
2. Catrice Holographic Flakes Topcoat
3. Deborah 3D Tech Top Coat 102

The final result is cute but I don't like it completely... what do you think about it?

Today we have diamonds in scende, and for me diamond means:

Dunque, per libera associazione di idee, ho deciso di trasformare le mie dita in piccoli astucci in cui faceva mostra di sè un anello di diamante.

So, following free association of ideas, I decided to turn my fingers in small boxes in which there is a diamond ring.

Alcatraz Rocks by OPI swatch and Christmas stamping

Vorrei cogliere l'occasione per mostrarvi il regalo che mi sono fatta: Alcatraz Rocks by OPI.
E' uno smalto della collezione autunnale San Francisco, dal finish liquid sand. Ed è bellissimo.

It is time to share with you the present I bought for myself:  Alcatraz Rocks by OPI, from the San Francisco fall collection. The finish, as you can read on the bottle, is liquid sand. And it is amazing.

Il colore parte da una base indaco piena di scagliette sui tono del viola, porpora e oro.
Rende moltissimo naturale, come potete vedere nella foto sotto, ma...

The color is an indigo full of violet, purple and gold flakes.
It is gorgeous without any top coat, as you can see in the picture below, but ...

 

...con il top coat (Seche Vite, in questo caso) diventa fantastico. Quale delle due versioni preferite?
...with a top coat (Seche Vite, in this case) is something incredible! Which is your favorite? With or without top coat?

Peacock pattern with violet Dots

Bentrovate signore!
Oggi vi faccio vedere uno dei miei pattern preferiti, che si trova sul plate 212 della Bundle Monster. Per inciso, trovo che la qualità di questi plate sia davvero ottima, del tutto comparabile con quella dei plate Konad.
Gli smalti che ho usato sono:

• A-England Bridal Veil (base)
• Kiko Mirror Effect 627 Lime (stamping)
• Deborah Pret a Porter #35 Knock Out Violet (dots)

Hello Ladies!
Today I'll show you one of my favorite pattern, which is on the Bundle Monster plate 212. By the way, I find that the quality of these plate is really good, at all comparable with the Konad plates.
The nail polishes I have used are:

• A-England Bridal Veil (base)
• Kiko Mirror Effect 627 Lime (stamping)
• Deborah Pret a Porter #35 Knock Out Violet (dots)

 

Ed ecco qui il risultato. Che ne pensate?
Io alla fine non ero proprio entusiasta, credo che riproverò prima o poi con una diversa combinazione di colori...

And here is the result. What do you think?
I was not exactly thrilled at the end, I believe that sooner or later try again with a different combination of colors ...

[Battle of Planets] #10 URANUS : Deborah Shine Tech Scarabeo n.71

 

Un altro venerdì, un altra battaglia dei pianeti!

Oggi è il turno di Urano, a cui è stato associato il verde; il mio smalto è l'amatissimo Deborah Shine Tech Scarabeo n.71.

Penso che questo smalto sia davvero bellissimo.

• stesura: buon, anche grazie al pennello largo
• coprenza: media, nelle foto due passate su base verde
• asciugatura: veloce, un paio di minuti
• durata: lo sto indossando oggi, quindi.... da sperimentare!
• colore: avete presente gli scarabei (o, come si dice qui in toscana, i gazzillori?)... ecco, stesso colore!

Another Friday, another Battle of Planets! 

Today we talk about Uranus which has been associated to the green; my today nail polish is my beloved Deborah Shine Tech 71 Beetle.
I think this polish is really beautiful.

• layering: good, thanks to the wide brush
• Coverage: not bad, here we have 2coats on a green base
• Drying: fast, a couple of minutes 
• Endurance:I am wearing it right now so.... I have to discover it!
•  Color: do you remember the beetles (the insect, not the band ^_^)? Same color!

 

E.... parlando di scarabei... ecco qui cosa ho sperimentato!
And ... talking about beetles ... here's what I experimented!

Per strafare ho voluto aggiungere un goccino di Ludurana Admiravel...
To exaggerate I wanted to add a little drop of Ludurana Admiravel ...

... ed ecco il risultato!

[Battle of Planets] #5 EARTH: Essence Witch You Were Here

Terra chiama Battle of Planets!
Eccoci giunti al nostro amato e un pò bistrattato pianeta azzurro. Per iniziare bene gli dedico subitissimo una canzone:

Earth calling Battle of Planets!
Here we come to our beloved and a bit mistreated blue planet . For a good start I immediately dedicate to it a song :

Lo smalto che ho scelto è un magnetico della Essence... all'inizio non gli avevo dato molta fiducia, ma dopo averlo provato debbo dire che merita! Eccolo qui sotto sorridente che posa insieme ad i suoi amici magneti.

The polish I chose is a magnetic Essence ... at the beginning I had not given it a lot of confidence, but after trying it I must say it deserves! Here below it is in smiling pose together with its friends magnets.

Ma veniamo alla scheda:

• stesura: buona
• coprenza: media, qui sono presenti 3 mani
• asciugatura: veloce, un paio di minuti
• durata: scarsa senza top coat
• colore: azzurro metallizzato,molto bello anche senza l'effetto del magnete

But let's get to the facts:

• layering: good
• Coverage: not bad, here we have 3 coats
• Drying: fast, a couple of minutes 
• Endurance: not very good, without a top coat
• Color: metallic azure, very nice even without the magnetic effect

Per quanto riguarda i magneti, bhe debbo dire che non ne sono stata proprio entusiasta... quello a righe (indice, medio e mignolo) non è male, ma quello a stella... ho provato a farci un accent su pollice e anulare, ma di quattro dita solo una è venuta decente (foto sopra).
Quindi.... ho optato per un tocco tono su tono con l'amico Stardust di Deborah, come vedete sotto!

Regarding the magnets, well, I must say that I was not excited about ... the striped one (index, middle and little finger) is not bad, but the star ... I tried to make an accent on the thumb and ring finger, but only one came decent (pictured above).
So .... I opted for a touch tone on tone with the Stardust of Deborah, as you can see below!

Simple Dots on nude using fall colors

Buongiorno e benvenute nel mio mercoledì... qui è autunno pieno e ovviamente i toni degli smalti si fanno un pò influenzare dai colori della stagione.
La manicure di oggi parte da una base nude arricchita con pallini concentrici, il tutto con i seguenti smalti:

• A-England Bridal Veil
• Essence Tribal Summer 03 Tra-La-Ra
• Kiko 374
• Orly Chocolate Martini

The manicure today starts from a nude base embellished with concentric dots, everything realized with the following nail polishes:

• Deborah Shine Tech  71
• A-England Bridal Veil
• Essence Tribal Summer 03 Tra-La-Ra
• Kiko 374
• Orly Chocolate Martini

La procedura è semplicissima:

1. base nude
2. pallini grandi con i colori più scuri
3. pallini più piccoli con i colori più brillanti
