Holothon 2015 Episode 2: Comparation Between Shaka 05 and Nfu-Oh 66

Buon venerdì gente!
Vi state godendo questo inizio d'estate? Noi sì, a modo nostro... se per tutti sole significa tintarella e mare per noi smaltofile è sinonimo di smalti holo. E quindi... eccovi un nuovo episodio della Holothon!
Tanto per cambiare, in vece della solita nail art oggi vorrei presentarvi una comparazione tra due smalti holo verdi chiari:

• Shaka 05 Hologram Green
• Nfu-Oh 66

Le prime foto sono scattate in ombra, come potete constatare gli smalti sembrano quasi dupe.

Are you enjoying this summer? We are enjoying it, in our own way ... if for everyone symmer means tan and sea for us nail polishes addicted is synonymous of holo nail polishes. So ... here's a new episode of Holothon!
Just for a change, instead of the usual nail art today let me introduce a comparison between two light green nail polishes:

• Shaka 05 Hologram Green
• NFU-Oh 66

The first pictures are taken in shadow, as you can see the nail polishes seem to dupe.

 La prova sole però chiarisce ogni dubbio: mentre lo Shaka risplende il Nfu-Oh brilla di luce propria!
Under the sun, however, any doubt disappears while Shaka shines the NFU-Oh explodes with its own light!

 Qui potete ammirarli entrambi, la differenza è davvero evidente. Qual'è il vostro preferito?
As you can see below they are very different. Which is your favorite?

[Finishpedia] episode 16: Crackle

Buon venerdì e bentornate alla Finishpedia!
Il finish di oggi è il Crackle. Vediamo subito la definizione (dal sito di Peachypolish):

A type of polish that you apply on top of another that dries quickly and shatters as it dries, creating a cracked finish. 

Non amo molto gli smalti che 'fanno da se' la nail art perchè mi tolgono tutto il gusto di pasticciare con i colori, ed infatti posseggo un solo ed unico smalto con questo finish, ovvero il Kiko Rock Top 612.
E' uno smalto assolutamente longevo perchè nonostante sia stato aperto almeno 3 anni fa, fa ancora egregiamente il suo lavoro!

Today finish is 'Crackle' let's see the definition (from Peachypolish blog) :

 A type of polish that you apply on top of another that dries quickly and shatters as it dries, creating a cracked finish.  

I do not love the top coat so  much scenographic because they deprive me of all the taste of mess with the nail polishes and create a nail art, and in fact I own only one bottle with finish like this: Kiko Rock Top 612.
It 'a absolutely durable nail polishes because despite having been open at least three years ago, it still does its job very well!

Con questo tipo di finish c'è poco da fare, la nail art va creata sotto.
Quindi vi mostro un piccolo esperimento che ho voluto fare con una base abbozzata con i colori acrilici:
With this kind of nail polish you have to create a base for the nail art, as I did applying some random acrylic colors:

 

Bel cambiamento eh?

[HOLOTHON 2.0] episode 8 - Nfu Oh 66

Buongiorno, buon venerdì e bentornate alla nostra Holothon 2.0!

Inizio subito col dirvi che questo brand era in WL da un sacco di tempo... poi complice l'euforia pre-ferie ed una buona offerta trovata in rete, alla fine l'ho acquistato. E finalmente posso mostrarvi questo smaltino in tutto il suo splendore!

Good morning, good Friday and welcome back to our Holothon 2.0!

this brand was in WL from a long long long time ... then I found a good deal on the net and I finally bought it. And finally I can show you this nail polish in all its glory!

Ovviamente quando si dice Nfu Oh il pensiero va subito alla celebre Aqua Base, che ho prontamente acquistato e che si è prestata per una foto insieme al protagonista di oggi:

When you say 'Nfu Oh', you immediately think about the famous Aqua Base. And of course I took the opportunity and I bought it, you can see it below:

Purtroppo ho indossato questo smalto di sera per cui le foto sono fatte con luce artificiale... ma debbo dire che comunque rende molto bene anche in condizioni non ottimali.

Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to take a pic in direct sunlight, but I can say that I like how it looks also with artificial light.

Ma passiamo alla nail art!
Ecco un'altra foto surreale per presentarvi il secondo protagonista di oggi.
Si tratta di uno smalto brasiliano donatomi da una mia carissima amica (ciao Andrea!) e che mi pareva adattissimo allo scopo. Lui è Latika Mint Milk, un bellissimo verde menta.

And now the nail art!
Here is another surreal  picture to present the other main attraction of today.
It is a Brazilian nail polish gifted to me by a dear friend of mine (hello Andrea!) And that seemed very suitable for the purpose. He's Latika Mint Milk, a beautiful mint green.

Ecco la nail art, spero vi piaccia ... questa perlomeno l'ho fotografata al sole!
