Appena ho visto questo pattern ho pensato: stelle marine! Riguardandolo adesso forse è solo la mia perenne voglia di mare e di immersioni che mi fa parlare... a prescindere dal tema, mi è piaciuta da subito la combinazione di colori sulle tonalità dell'arancio. A voi cosa fa venire in mente?
When I saw this pattern I immediately thought: starfish! Now that I'm looking at it again I'm thinking that maybe it's just my perpetual craving for sea and diving that makes me talk ... apart of the theme, I also loved the combination of colors on shades of orange. What do you see when you look at this pattern?

Oggi è l'ultimo giorno di primavera: da domani siamo ufficialmente in estate. Un ottimo motivo per dedicare la puntata odierna ad un altro fiore super estivo: il papavero. Io adoro i papaveri, e durante le mie sessioni di passeggiata in campagna cerco sempre di raccogliere i semi per farli crescere nel mio mini-giardino, ma sembra che riescano a crescere ovunque tranne che davanti casa mia! E allora per questa volta mi accontento di portarli in punta di dita. A voi piacciono i papaveri?
Today is the last day of spring: tomorrow is the official start to summer. An excellent reason to dedicate today's episode to another summery flower: the poppy. I love poppies, and during my walk in the countryside I always try to collect the seeds to grow them in my mini-garden, but they seem to be able to grow everywhere except in front of my house! So for this time I'll bring them with me on the tip of my fingers! What about you? Do you like poppies?

Cosa c'è di più estivo di un bel campo di girasoli? Visto che l'estate è oramai alle porte era davvero l'ora di celebrare questo bellissimo fiore dedicandogli l'episodio odierno. Non è stato facile trovare il pattern giusto, ma alla fine ci siamo innamorate di questi girasoli acquerellati, spero piaceranno anche a voi!
What's more summery than a beautiful sunflowers field? Since the summer is now at the door it was really time to celebrate this beautiful flower dedicating to it the today's episode. It was not easy to find the right pattern, but in the end we fell in love with these amazing watercolor sunflowers, I hope you will like them too!

Oggi ci dedichiamo ad un tema marino, condito con un pizzico di ironia: chiare, dolci, fresche acque sì, ma condite da un tripudio di pinne dall'aspetto inquietante. Saranno squali o delfini? Io nel dubbio non azzarderei a buttarmi!...
This episode is dedicated to a marine theme, with a touch of irony: clear, blue, fresh saltwater, with just a bunch of scary-looking fins. Will they be sharks or dolphins? I doubt I would dare to dive in and check! ...

Tribute Nail Art Challenge Episode 1

Buon lunedì!
Con questo post sono lieta di dare inizio ad una twinsie studiata insieme alla mia amica Aly: ogni primo lunedì del mese dedicheremo un tributo alla creazione di una nail artist che ci ha colpito con la sua bravura ed originalità.
La twinsie - guarda tu il caso- si chiama appunto “Tribute” e ci vedrà affiancate nell’intento di emulare ogni mese una nail art diversa... aggiungendo un tocco personale, inevitabilmente!

With this post I am pleased to introduce a twinsie planned with my friend  Aly: every first Monday of the month we will dedicate a tribute to the creation of a nail artist who impressed us with her skill and originality.
The twinsie - strangely enough - is called "Tribute" and it will see us side by side trying to emulate a different nail art each month ... always adding a personal touch, of course!

Per la prima puntata abbiamo scelto una vecchia opera della bravissima Lex del blog Storm And Stars con le sue chevron su gradiente nei toni del tramonto (la trovate anche su IG).
Ecco la mia versione!
Come vedete ho usato una tecnica un pò diversa da quella della nail art originale: ho creato prima il gradient e poi  ho applicato i chevron con uno stamping furbo. E' più forte di me: cerco sempre delle scorciatoie! Spero che la mia versione vi piaccia comunque ecco qualche altra foto:

For the first episode we chose an old work by the very talented nail artist Lex from the blog Storm And Stars: chevrons on a gradient in the shades of sunset (you can find her also on IG).
Here is my tribute version!
As you can see I used a technique a bit different from the original nail art: I created the gradient and I used it as base for a stamping with chevrons pattern. It's stronger than me: I'm always looking for shortcuts! I hope you like my version anyway, you can find below are some other photos:
