[HOLOTHON 2.0] episode 4 - Layla Flash Black

Oggi mi sento un pò il bianconiglio. Avete presente? "E' tardi, tardi, tardi!"

Ma è normale. Domenica parto per due settimane di ferie a giro per Olanda e Scozia e ho la terribile sensazione che il tempo non basterà mai per completare tutti i preparativi.

Poi arriverà il momento e, una volta in viaggio, mi renderò conto che ho scordato lo spazzolino, o le ciabattine o qualcosa e penserò: "Ma chissenefrega." E inizieranno le ferie!

Capita anche a voi?

Today I feel a bit the white rabbit. Do you know? "It 's late, late, late!"

But it is normal. Sunday I leave for a two week vacation in Scotland and around the Netherlands and I have a terrible feeling that time will never be enough to complete all the preparations.

Then, the moment will come, and once on the road, I will realize that I forgot a toothbrush, or slippers or something and I'll think, "Who cares?" And the holidays will begin!

Lo smalto di oggi è TANTA roba. Ci sbavavo sopra da eoni per via del costo un pò altino, ma alla fine l'ho trovato in saldo ed è stato mio!

Today nail polish is gorgeous I think. It was in my WL from EONS but finally I bought it!

Per questa puntata vi mostro solo lo smalto... la nail art che ho realizzato me la gioco con il post programmato di lunedì... perdonate ma assentandomi 2 settimane bisogna che in qualche modo ottimizzi i post! Ma vUogliatemi bene lo stesso. :-)

Pattern Wednesday episode 1

Buongiorno gentili lettori.
Oggi inauguro una fantastica nuova rubrica... roba da far decuplicare le visite, che mica si frigge con l'acqua qui! Ho addirittura creato un banner per l'occasione, eccolo qui:

Qual'è l'idea, vi starete giustamente chiedendo?

Ultimamente, quando sono a corto di idee cerco in giro per il web dei pattern appunto... possono essere stoffe, carta da parati, vestiti, qualsiasi cosa che mi faccia scattare la lampadina dell'ispirazione!

Quindi ogni mercoledì :

• sceglierò un pattern
• cercherò di riprodurlo sulle unghie

Ed ecco il pattern di oggi!

What's the idea, you're probably asking? 

Lately, when I'm running out of ideas I am used to look around the web any kind of patterns: fabric, wallpaper, clothes, anything that could give me the inspiration! 

So every Wednesday: 

• I will choose a pattern 
• I will try to reproduce it on my nails 

And here's the first pattern!

Revlon Scented Nail Polish - Wintermint

Buongiorno, oggi sono tutta pimpante perché questa è la mia ultima settimana di lavoro prima delle ferie... se sopravvivo è fatta!
Sabato era giorno di saldi e gironzolando per il centro ho scovato i mitici Revlon profumati con lo sconto del 30%... secondo voi potevo farmeli scappare?
Per essere onesti i colori non mi hanno molto convinta, così mi sono orientata su quello che trovavo più originale: Wintermint.

Hello, today I'm very happy because this is my last working week before the holidays ... if I'll survive!
Last saturday was the first day of sales and hanging around I found the legendary scented Revlon with a discount of 30% ... do you think I could just leave it there?
To be honest the colors did not totally convinced me, so I focused on what I found most original: Wintermint.

Il profumo è gradevole, ma non l'ho trovato molto persistente.
Alla fine ho creato questa semplice composizione tono su tono, usando i seguenti smalti:

The scent is pleasant, but I did not find it very persistent.
I created this simple composition, tone on tone, using the following nail polishes:

• Peggy Sage Jasmine
• Kiko Mirror Nail 624
• Revlon Wintermint

Che ne dite?

[HOLOTHON 2.0] episode 3 - A-England Bridal Veil

Bentornate alla nostra maratona holo, meglio conosciuta come Holothon 2.0 (applausi)!
Oggi vi presento il mio purtroppo unico smalto del brand A-England.
Ora dovete sapere che io nutro un amore viscerale per gli Holo neri....sia linear che scattered; quindi quando ho avuto l'opportunità di mettere le mie zampette su di lui non me lo sono fatta ripetere due volte!
Forse una delle cose che mi piacciono di più (oltre allo sbrilluccichio) è il fatto che è nero. Non grigio scuro. Non blu scurissimo. Nero.

Welcome back to our holo marathon, aka Holothon 2.0 (applause)!
Today I present my (unfortunately) only nail polish from A-England.
Now you should know that I feel a deep love for the black Holos linear or scattered; so when I had the opportunity to put my hands on it I did not hesitate!
Perhaps one of the things I like most (besides the shining) is the fact that it is black. Not dark gray. Not very dark blue. Black.

La nail art che ho voluto accostare a questo smalto purtroppo non rende giustizia alla componente olografica, ma il contrasto mi è piaciuto talmente tanto che l'ho indossata per un paio di giorni (record!).
L'azzurro è il mio fido Kiko Mirror Nail Laquer 624, ovviamente.

I did a simple stamping that maybe does not do justice to the holographic component, but I liked the contrast so much that I wore it for a couple of days (it is a record for me!).
The stamping nail polish is Kiko Mirror Nail Laquer 624.

Stamping gone wrong

Vi capita mai?
Base perfetta, stamping buono su quasi tutte le unghie (tranne un paio) che dal vivo fa comunque la sua porca figura... fate quindi le foto tutte contente. Poi arriva il momento di scaricare le foto e... la nail art che pareva tanto carina adesso è inguardabile!
Eh sì.... il macro non perdona!
Io però le condivido lo stesso... alla fine questo blog è un pò il mio diario di viaggio nel mondo della nail art e i percorsi sono fatti anche di piccoli imprevisti, no?

I am sharing a stamping gone a bit wrong... I realized the problem only reviewing the pics, so I decided to share it anyway. You can see the sad face pointing at the defects in the pics below! :-)
